Ingredients:

  • 4 cups day-old rustic bread, cut into ¾-inch cubes (sourdough or ciabatta works well)
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1½ tablespoons Sugar Bob’s Smoked Maple Syrup
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra smokiness)
  • Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, Sugar Bob’s Smoked Maple Syrup, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until well combined.
  3. Add the bread cubes and toss thoroughly to coat each piece evenly.
  4. Spread the croutons in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
  6. Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
