
Smoked Maple Croutons
Bring a bold, sweet-smoky crunch to your salads, soups, or snack boards with these irresistible Smoked Maple Croutons.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups day-old rustic bread, cut into ¾-inch cubes (sourdough or ciabatta works well)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1½ tablespoons Sugar Bob’s Smoked Maple Syrup
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra smokiness)
- Fresh cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, Sugar Bob’s Smoked Maple Syrup, salt, garlic powder, and paprika until well combined.
- Add the bread cubes and toss thoroughly to coat each piece evenly.
- Spread the croutons in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
- Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
