Sweet Potato Mash with Smoked Maple Syrup and Butter
This creamy sweet potato mash gets a smoky-sweet twist from Sugar Bob’s Smoked Maple Syrup — handcrafted in Vermont and cold-smoked over hardwood for bold, real flavor.
INGREDIENTS (Serves 4):
- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter (or Garlic & Herb Butter Roll for extra flavor)
- 2 tbsp Sugar Bob’s Smoked Maple Syrup
- ¼ cup heavy cream (or milk, for a lighter mash)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Prep the potatoes: Place cubed sweet potatoes in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt.
- Boil & soften: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes, until fork-tender.
- Mash it up: Drain well and return potatoes to the pot.
